Floyd Favel's New Film Will Be Entirely In Cree
A filmmaker from Poundmaker First Nation is about to make movie history. Floyd Favel is an author, filmmaker and playwright from the North Battleford area. He's teamed up with one of the world's best independent filmmakers for a new movie to be made right here in Saskatchewan. The movie, to be called "Sweet Cherry Wine," will be entirely in Cree. Favel just received a major grant for $600,000 from the Canada Media Fund to produce the film. He joined Leisha Grebinski on Saskatoon Morning.
