Elijah Smith Tribute

Elijah Smith is perhaps one of the most recognized First Nation elders in the Yukon. His name appears on the federal building in Whitehorse and an elementary school. He is also known as the one of the key persons to kick off the Yukon First Nation land claim process with the presentation of Together Today for Our Children Tomorrow 40 years ago this year. Elijah Smith would have turned 100 this year. Vuntut Gwitchen MLA Darius Elias pays tribute to the legendary Yukon elder.
