Port Hope Simpson's Dennis Burden - Protesting Muskrat Falls
Port Hope Simpson's Dennis Burden decided to show his opposition to the Muskrat Falls project in a very different way. He showed up at the construction site on the north side of the river carrying the Labrador flag and a sign, which read, "Stop Nalcor and our corrupt government's greed. Say no to Muskrat." Mr. Burden also carried an axe. He chopped half way through one of the hydro poles .... just enough that it wouldn't come down but would have to be replaced. Police arrested Dennis Burden. He's now facing criminal charges. We asked Dennis Burden why he took an axe to one of Nalcor's hydro poles.
