Which may explain why a novel published in 1925 holds such appeal in 2012. A movie adaptation of F. Scott Fitzgerald's The Great Gatsby is due out next summer. A musical version just opened in London, and an eight-hour reading of the novel got rave reviews in New York. There's even a Great Gatsby makeup line in the works. Sarah Churchwell teaches literature at the University of East Anglia, and is working on a book about Gatsby. And Miles Corak researched what's been called "The Gatsby Curve". He teaches economics at the University of Ottawa.
