Fort Ouest, a Laurentians multi-activity centre
In the woods and fields between the villages of Arundel and St-Jovite, Daniel Fournier, along with his business partner Martin Cossette, have developed a 177-acre playground. It's called Fort Ouest, and indeed, there is a fort, for family paint ball fun. Yuma Expeditions (Stephane Neault) is also on site, with snowmobile, ATV and dune buggy excursions. This winter, Lucie Perron and her Aventure Alaskan have joined with 50 sled dogs on location. Jacquie met these young nature-lovers who talked about their hopes that tourists will venture beyond the ski hills to the outdoor activities they've set up in this part of the Laurentians.
