District Profile:

This is an urban district largely made up of the amalgamated town of Stratford, the third-largest community in the province (pop. 7,000). It's the fastest growing area of the province. Stratford's population grew 12.2 per cent between 2001-06.

A small part of the riding, formerly Glen Stewart-Bellevue Cove, was absorbed into Vernon River-Stratford for the 2006 redistribution.

2003 DAVID MCKENNA (PC) beat Eric Ellsworth (LIB) by 958 votes.
2000 PAT MELLA defeated VIOLA EVANS-MURLEY (LIB) by 1,547 votes. Mella opted not to run in the 2003 election.
1996 Mella beat MARY HUGHES (LIB) by 1,443 votes.
