Sept. 16, 6:54 p.m. - Election Hello. I am concerned that I have not heard any commentary about women's issues, from women's addictions to violence against women and quite a bit in between. These issues are just as important as insurance rates and health care...if you are a woman in a difficult situation looking for help. It seems that women are invisible in this election. I'm not sure I have even seen a woman running for a seat. Have the parties addressed the difficulties for a woman who wants to run? Have they organized themselves such that she can run on equal footing as a man? I wish it was equal; need I explain why it's not. I think it is widely known. Finally, it is a terrible shame that in 2003 I should be considering these issues in an election on my Island. - Lise Brown
