Riding Profile: Once a separate community, these suburbs on the Hillsborough River are now part of Charlottetown.

Most of the housing in this riding was built in the 1960s. The riding includes the Charlottetown Airport and the developing industrial park there, as well as the Queen Elizabeth hospital.

Political History: Taking in areas of Charlottetown and the neighbourhood of Sherwood, voters in this district have a history of electing candidates who are appointed ministers of the crown. Under the old electoral system, this was the district represented by Jim Lee when he was premier from 1981 to 1986.
