TRACADIE - FORT AUGUSTUS (8)

Candidates:

PC: Mildred Dover
Liberal: Buck Watts
NDP: Robert Perry

Current MLA: Mildred A. Dover (PC), Speaker of the Legislative Assembly

Riding Profile: This riding stretches from the north shore down to Charlottetown, split in two by the Hillsborough River. Despite fine beaches and a significant portion of the P.E.I. National Park there are few tourist attractions, with Dalvay at the northwest corner of the riding one exception.

Tracadie Bay is a site of heavy aquaculture and a destination for cottagers, and the two have been bickering over the use of the bay. Many residents in the riding commute to Charlottetown, but there is also considerable agricultural activity.
