Starting Thursday, November 29, customers of Bell Satellite Television will be able to watch all their favourite CBC programs 24 hours a day on Channel 197. Previously, Bell Satellite Television Channel 197 carried CBC News Compass from 5:00-6:30 p.m.
Families can start their day with CBC Kids programming, including favourites BO ON THE GO and LUNAR JIM. CBC NEWS NOW updates viewers on news from across Canada and the world at noon. There are lots of decorating tips and new recipes to try found in afternoon shows STEVEN AND CHRIS and BEST RECIPES EVER. CBC NEWS COMPASS with host Bruce Rainnie starts at 5 p.m. followed by a variety of prime-time favourites such as THE RICK MERCER REPORT, CORONATION STREET, the fifth estate and more.
CBC Television's Holiday Magic programming begins on December 2 with classics like RUDOLPH THE RED-NOSED REINDEER to HOLIDAY FESTIVAL OF ICE, and new holiday programming from DRAGON'S DEN, STARS ON ICE, and a CCMA holiday special.
