What a week it's been, food and family are definitely on the mind - from dinner parties to Valentine's delicacies to babies in the House of Commons.
Celebrate friendship this Valentine's Day. Kary Osmond of Best Recipes Ever has pulled together a multitude of dinner options to fit any mood/budget (we especially love the childhood favourites, and the sloppy sausage joes). Just because Valentine's Day is the perfect time to celebrate everyone you hold dear to your heart, especially dear old friends.

CBC Toronto's Metro Morning and CBC News at 5, 5:30 and 6 introduced us to a fascinating new series this week called Great Expectations, Immigrant Families Under Pressure. It's a look at the lives of immigrant families in the York Region as each member of the family (both young and old) attempt to integrate into their new world (York region is just north of Toronto Ontario and one is of the fastest growing regions in the country).

Oh Baby! Banned in some restaurants, the tower of Pisa and even some shopping malls, babies in public places are making headlines this week. Inspired by the appearance of a newborn at the House of Commons this past Tuesday, Melissa Wheeler of CBC News shows us a few places where our little ones are (and are not) invited to join us in public.
