Michelle just turned 21 and is from from picturesque Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island.
A recent graduate of Oakville's Sheridan College, Michelle has just finished performing in Rent in downtown Toronto's Panasonic Theatre.
Michelle has been singing for her entire life - largely because both of her parents are vocal instructors! She loves singing old jazz standards, and sings because she says there's no better feeling in the world.
The first stage production she ever saw was when she was six, and fittingly for a PEI girl, was Anne of Green Gables. She knew she wanted to be in musical theatre when she saw The Rockettes in New York City when she was 12.
Her role models are her parents and her sister. In addition to being a talented singer, Michelle also plays the cello and the piano, and started dancing in junior high school.
Michelle says playing the role of Dorothy would be an absolute honour, and when not on stage, you can find her in a hot yoga class or reading a book with a cup of tea.
