Julia Gartha

16-year-old Julia moved to Unionville, Ontario when she was 3, and still has one more year to go before graduating high school.

As part of the Unionville Theatre Company, she has performed in productions of Peter Pan, Willy Wonka, Cats and Fame.

Julia says her sister Isabelle, who was born deaf in both ears, is her biggest inspiration.

The first stage production she ever saw was Mamma Mia when she was eight. Julia first realized she could sing when people told her they enjoyed the way she sang O Canada - and it was in tune!

Her industry role model is Danielle Hope, who Julia thinks is very talented. In her spare time, Julia loves to fool around on the piano, and can also play the guitar.

Her favourite song is Somebody That I Used to Know by Gotye, and her favourite Wizard of Oz moment is when the Wicked Witch of the West melts!
