It's been a real whirlwind for our Dorothys these past few weeks, so we asked them to give us the dirt on what's been going through their heads. Here's what they had to say.

AJ on getting ready for the next big show...

'I feel like I'm enjoying myself as much as possible. Staying positive is the best thing I can do right now and I'm trying to invest one-hundred percent of my positive energy towards this competition. I'm trying to really focus on my singing this week. I love my song and it's very easy to forget about my vocal support and get caught up in the acting.'

Colleen on her first performance for live television...

'Holy flying monkeys! I just performed for live television. Standing on stage and listening to "5, 4, 3, 2, 1" was the most anxious five seconds of my life. Having the studio audience in the building gave me so much positive energy to feed off of which was incredible. After having such a blast during the first number I literally almost fell off the stage! We had to run down these stairs to get backstage and my high-heeled silver shoe got caught on something. I was so close to falling flat on my face, but thankfully luck was on my side. It was hilarious.'

Stephanie on working with vocal coach Jeannie Wyse...

'Working with Jeannie has been fantastic. She is such an amazing teacher and knows how to get a message across. Her techniques are extremely helpful and she knows easy methods that help us improve on our vocals quickly. She gave us tips for memorization, diction, and really she helped us find true meaning and depth in our songs.'

Danielle on performing for a live audience...

On Sunday night I think it was safe to say that I was about ready to explode with nerves and excitement. My heart was racing, my head was pounding, and my palms were sweating. It was one of the best things I've ever been a part of. I was so proud of all the girls for getting out there and giving it their all. Performing in front of a live audience is really hard. Performing for an audience you can't see is even harder.

Julia on singing in front of Andrew Lloyd Webber...

'Today the entire family is coming for a get together and to celebrate me and my sister's birthdays! It's crazy to think that over a week ago I was fighting for a spot in the Top 10 and singing for the biggest man in musical theatre, Sir Andrew Lloyd Webber! The day I performed my solo for him was the scariest - but happiest - day of my life. I woke up with a knot in my stomach, knowing that I couldn't afford to mess it up or make my anxiety worse. I just kept telling myself 'stay calm'. What else was I supposed to do?'

Rest assured that our Dorothys have all gotten over those early jitters and are hard at work getting ready for the next show. We'll have another edition of the Nikon Dorothy Diaries ready for you soon - rumour has it the girls will comment on their favourite musicals and take us on a tour of their new home. More to come!
