Deep Wireless #4: Taking the Bridge

Once again, Outfront and the Deep
Wireless Festival have commissioned four pieces of audio
art.
Christian Nicolay has long been obsessed by forgotten and
overlooked objects. In Taking the Bridge, Christian gathers
up his collection of guitar pedals, old and broken tape recorders
as well as various audio pick ups and heads towards the Vancouver's
north shore. The result is a composition in which Christian
plays one of the world's largest unintentional instruments,
The Lion's Gate Bridge.
Deep Wireless is a festival produced in Toronto by New
Adventures in Sound Art, with residences at Charles Street
Video.
