Kelly Craig - Trumpet
Zakari Frantz - Alto Sax

From Montreal
Patrick Lampron - Tenor Sax
Alex Belgarde - Upright Bass
Adam Daudrich - Piano
Alain Bourgeois - Drum Set

Why?:
A precursor to their next recording project in October 2012. This is an exciting time for the sextet as they are making preliminary plans to tour Europe, Asia, The Caribbean, and throughout Canada in 2012 and 2013.  Attendance at the May 11, concert at the Fourth stage will aid in the sextet achieving their touring and recording aspirations.

Bio
The Sextet has earned a reputation for including strong live material on the releases, a solid turnout at this concert will ensure the room energy needed to boost the performers to new levels.
The antidote for the light-footed and tepid reception of chamber Jazz, over the past 10 years the Kelly Craig Sextet has proven to be a prolific Jazz machine. The conception of the Sextet was not so much an act of want as need. Collaborating to create their own brand of music with verve was the only choice for these active musicians.Made up of players oozing a restless need to find improvisational vehicles, the Sextetâ??s enthusiasm is infectious.  The Sextetâ??s ability to produce original material with polish and ease allows movement throughout the Jazz spectrum.
