Heritage vs Safety

Robyn speaks with the lawyer for the Group Claude Lauzon.  The developer owns a building that was once a Catholic girls school in Lowertown but now sits surrounded by a fence, to protect people from falling debris.
Lauzon say it's unsafe to enter and want to demolish it.

But Robyn also speaks to Arlene Gregoire, Ottawa's director of building code about why the city is not letting the demolition go ahead.

Robyn speaks to two Ottawa teams that have submitted appications for the Amazing race Canada.  Catherine Kitts and Kate Lalumiere call themselves "Team Cat and Kate."
And husband-and-wife duo Keenan Wellar and Julie Kingstone have also applied to compete.
They call themselves "The Bee Team."

Chinese espionage

CBC Ottawa's investigative unit, looks into the case of ZDG.

In the next few weeks, Chinese state-owned enterprise will set up shop in  the same building as Invest Ottawa, the city's economic development agency.
