Haven't read the decision yet, of course, however:
Kilrae DID drop out.
O'Brien DID win.
Did the "rookie mistake" not happen?
Would this result be available to an ordinary mortal, or is everyone entitled to one freebee?
i suppose in retrospect it was little surprise. Lex's pals in local business and legal circles were hardly gonna let their pet project go to the slammer on the say-so of some pischer like Kilrea.
i think it's interesting that the judge's decision sounds like it was focused strongly on the weakness of Kilrea's testimony, casting doubt on its truthfulness, but the strategy that Lex's legal team took the other month was to say that back-scratching of the sort Kilrea alleged, is as Canadian as lacrosse and tortiere.
