Episode 3: Four-Wheeled Furies
Air date: Saturday, August 4, 2012 at 7:00 p.m. EDT. They're fast and they're furious (kind of). Four-Wheeled Furies, is a documentary about some of the women who are part of the Rideau Valley Roller Girls (RVRG) and the fascinating world of roller derby.
Episode 4: North Boys, South Girls
Air date: Saturday, August 18, 2012 at 7:00 p.m. EDT North Boys, South Girls - In two compelling short documentaries, we explore the personal journeys that our main characters have followed in finding their way back to their roots and reconciling their cultural identity. Both of these documentaries were written, produced and directed by CBC Ottawa's Lucy van Oldenbarneveld.
Episode 5: Ottawa Docs
Air date: Saturday, August 25, 2012 at 7:00 p.m. EDT Ottawa Docs features the works of several first-time local documentary makers, including student documentary films. From raising social awareness, to embracing our differences and celebrating life, these documentaries tell the stories of the people and places in the city.
Episode 6: Ottawa Shorts
Air date: Saturday, September 1, 2012 at 7:00 p.m. EDT The summer series wraps up with Ottawa Shorts, a showcase of short films by Ottawa-Gatineau filmmakers. Many of these films were also part of local festivals and competitions: Digi 60, 72-Hour Film Challenge, and Treepot Media's Indie Filmmaker Showcase.
