pilot project is designed to support the integration of new
Canadians into their new society and to introduce them to their
new home and their national public broadcaster, the Canadian
Broadcasting Corporation. We hope to enhance learners’
knowledge of Canada and open up access to the wealth of material
available from the CBC.
These web pages are intended for those who do not have access
to formal learning facilities or who wish to improve their
language skills on their own or at home.
Our partners will be making public access internet points
available across Ottawa, so please check this site regularly
for information.
We will assess use of these web pages over several months
to decide whether to expand this service.
