Adrian Harewood hosts Adrienne Clarkson at the International Writers Festival - Oct. 17

Adrian Harewood will host tonight's event featuring former governor general Adrienne Clarkson at the International Writers Festival tonight, October 17.

Clarkson's latest book Room for All of Us delves into the immigrant experience, what it means to be Canadian and the evolution of Canada over the decades. An immigrant herself, Clarkson knows the struggles many immigrants can have.

In 1999 Adrienne Clarkson became Canada's twenty-sixth Governor General, serving until September 2005. During her career as an accomplished broadcaster and distinguished public servant, she received numerous prestigious awards and honorary degrees in Canada and abroad.

Tonight's event is at the Southminster United Church, 5 Aylmer Ave at Bank Street at
7:30pm.
