A call-out to Ottawa charities

For the past 20 years CBC Ottawa has devoted one day in December to telling the stories of local charities. We call this special day of programming Share Central.

Each year for Share Central we choose two charities. One is featured on Ottawa Morning, the other on All in a Day. During each program, we paint a clear picture of the charity's work in the community, and tell the stories of the lives they've touched - all while encouraging our listeners to reach into their pockets and donate to the cause.

If you're interested in being one of our Share Central charities for 2011, we'll ask you to please download the application (click here: Share Central Application.doc), and return it to us by no later than Friday September 2, 2010.

All charities will be considered, large or small.
