The CBC Massey Lectures 2012 Contest

The CBC Massey Lectures this year feature physicist Neil Turok, on "The Universe Within: From Quantum to Cosmos."

We've got tickets to give away to his Vancouver lecture, entitled "What Banged," on October 16th at the Chan Centre at UBC. By entering the contest here, you'll be part of our daily draw for a pair of tickets, and at the same time you'll also be entered for the grand prize, along with entrants from across Canada.

Grand Prize: A six-day trip to Perimeter Institute for Theoretical Physics in Ontario, Canada and the Large Hadron Collider at CERN in Geneva, Switzerland. You'll meet Neil Turok - Perimeter Director and 2012 CBC Massey Lecturer - and tour the largest centre for foundational physics research, training and educational outreach. Next, you'll fly to CERN's Large Hadron Collider in Geneva, Switzerland. You'll wander through the largest science experiment of all time, and the site of the recent Higgs boson particle discovery. This trip includes airfare from anywhere in Canada, ground transportation, accommodation, and meals. See Official Contest Rules & Regulations for exclusions.

Tickets for the Vancouver event are also available for purchase.

To encourage thoughtful and respectful conversations, first and last names will appear with each submission to CBC/Radio-Canada's online communities (except in children and youth-oriented communities). Pseudonyms will no longer be permitted.
