Mary-Ellen Turpel-Lafond

Last year near Cultus Lake a 15-year-old girl with Down Syndrome spent days beside the corpse of her mother before being discovered by neighbours. A report from British Columbia's Representative for Children and Youth detailed the sad events that led up to her mother's death. Mary-Ellen Turpel-Lafond is British Columbia's Representative for Children and Youth.
