An Expanded Role for BC's Nurse Practitioners

Nurse Practitioners in BC will be given an expanded role in the province's health care facilities. Today Health Minister Margaret McDiarmid announced new regulations that will allow nurse practitioners to admit and discharge patients.BC is the second province after Ontario to give these powers to nurse practitioners. We spoke with the president of the BC Nurse Practitioner Association.
