Have the Olympics lost their shine, for you?

In just over a week the opening ceremonies will kick off the 2016 Olympic games in Rio.  But headlines remain mired in headlines about doping, pollution and the zika virus.  Will it affect fans' or athletes' enthusiasm?

Our guest for the hour is Helen Lenskyj, professor emeritus at the University of Toronto, and author of a number of books on the social and political impact of the Olympic games.  We'll also get a report from a CBC producer setting up our broadcasts from Rio.  And we'll hear from Dick Pound, former president of the World Anti-Doping Agency.
