Do immigration detainees belong behind bars?

Immigrants held at jails in Ontario are on a hunger strike. They are calling for an end to indefinite detentions, and protesting conditions they face inside.

We will hear from their representative, Macdonald Scott, who's an immigration consultant and  member of the immigrant activist group "No One Is Illegal."  We will take questions through the hour with Barbara Jackman, a lawyer specializing in immigration.  We will also hear a response from the parliamentary secretary for the minister of Public Safety, Michel Picard.
