Kathleen Petty to host Ontario Today

This is a personal milestone for Kathleen, who was diagnosed with cancer in the summer of 2011, just weeks before a scheduled move to Calgary. After surgery and months of chemo- and radiation therapy, she is looking forward to getting back behind the microphone.
Kathleen Petty is a veteran journalist with 26 years of experience in both radio and television. She is known for her wit and non-nonsense approach, qualities that were put to good use with the politicians she interviewed during her five years as host of The House on CBC Radio One. Petty was also an original team member of CBC Newsworld - now CBC News Network- covering all the big national and international stories from the late eighties until 2006. She assumed hosting duties for The House and Ottawa Morning in 2006, with both programs experiencing record audiences.
