Ring of Fire

It is a monumental mineral deposit northeast of Thunder Bay which is rich in chromite, a key ingredient in stainless steel. That's why so many people are thrilled about this deposit, especially in Northern Ontario where it could create desperately needed jobs.

But NDP mining critic Michael Mantha is raising concerns about companies shipping some of those resources in concentrate form out of Ontario.
