Drunk driving case

It was just before 10 a.m. the morning after the Superbowl, and 23-year-old Korin Howes of Belleville drove onto Highway 401.
She had allegedly been up all night drinking at a local bar, and ended up driving in the wrong direction on the highway......
And hit another car head on.
She killed herself, and the other driver.
And that led the OPP this week to charge the owners of the Angry Beaver bar in Belleville with two counts of manslaughter and several liquor license violations.

Canadian Pentathlete- Melanie McCann

Most people are impressed when a local athlete competes well enough in sport to qualifyfor the Olympics. But Olympic pentathletes have to compete in five completely different sports. Now that's impressive. And that's what Melanie McCann does.
She's from the small town of Mount Carmel, near Grand Bend. She's 23 years old and she'll soon be heading to England to compete in the London summer games.Listen audio

Education Success

Lori Nicholas and Jason George of the Oneida First Nation fought drugs, alcohol and abuse as teenagers. They dropped out of high school to raise a baby, then their second child was born.

Now in their mid-thirties, the couple have just received their high school diplomas from the G.A. Wheable Centre and have been accepted at Western University. Listen audio
