Saugeen Shores Wind Turbine

Opponents of a wind turbine in Saugeen Shores want the Canadian Auto Workers to consider building a new kind of turbine.
Members of STOP or Saugeen Shores Turbine Operation Policy made the suggestion in an open letter to Ken Lewenza, the president of the CAW.
The union is currently building a 76-meter tall turbine at its Education Centre in the community. It's within 200 meters of dozens of homes. Current regulations call for turbines to be a minimum of 550 meters from dwellings, but this turbine proposal was approved prior to the new set back rules were put in place.
We'll speak with Ken Bondi of the CAW about the proposal. But first to Greg Schmalz. He's a member of STOP.
