Two findings released

-Monday, Dec 31, 2012 No Comments

Since my last blog post I have released two findings following public complaints about CBC news and information content. The first review involved a segment on CBC Radio's The Current on women in combat roles in the military. The complainant asserted the host demonstrated bias in the approach in the segment, but I did not find a violation of CBC Journalistic Standards and Practices. The second review concerned an interview on CBC Radio's The Sunday Edition following the U.S. presidential election. The complainant asserted the host was insufficiently inquisitive of immigration policies as part of a discussion on American demography. I concluded there was no violation of journalistic policy.
