Tessa and Scottie were amazing last night

Author: Carol Moir, aunt of Scott Moir and his first skating coach.

WOW!   What an event!   It is hard to get the real 'picture' of the compulsory dance on television.  You don't get the idea of the speed, the large patterns and edges, flow...any of that.

WOW!   What an event!   It is hard to get the real 'picture' of the compulsory dance on television.  You don't get the idea of the speed, the large patterns and edges, flow, any of that.  But you do get to see the closeness of the positions and the expression of the skaters with all the close shots!

virtueandmoir-250.jpgI will be a little biased here, Tessa and Scottie were amazing last night!  They looked like they were enjoying every second and looked so ready!

Judging???   I will give the judges the benefit of those things I mentioned above.   Some of the judging I agree with and with some of the judging I was yelling at the TV!!   But that's okay - I always do that.   It will make the event interesting.

I am very proud of BOTH our Canadian teams. They took the challenge of skating in both their first Olympic games on home ice and did their job.    Great job Vanessa and Paul and Tessa and Scottie!!!

I have one more thing to say:  GAME ON!!!!!!!    Go Canada Go!!!
