Men's moguls star Alexandre Bilodeau — with the hopes of the nation pinned to his bib — came through in the clutch on Sunday night by grabbing the first Canadian gold medal on home soil.

Earlier in the day, speedskater Kristina Groves earned Canada's second medal of the Vancouver Olympics, claiming bronze in the 3,000 metre event.
