Michael Phelps or Usain Bolt: Who is the better athlete?
Phelps has gone where no Olympian has gone before, swimming to eight gold medals at the Beijing Games and setting a record for most gold at a single Olympics. He also set seven world records during the Games
At just 23 years of age, the American has 14 gold medals to his credit, five more than anyone else in history.
Bolt breezed to an astounding world-record time of 9.69 seconds in winning 100-metre gold on Saturday, and on Wednesday he won the 200-metre race in a world-record time of 19.30.
Bolt is the first man since Carl Lewis in 1984 to sweep the 100- and 200-metre gold medals at an Olympics. And the 22-year-old Jamaican is not done. He's also set to race in the 4X100-metre relays later this week.
So, who will be remembered as the greatest athlete of the Beijing Games?
