Felicien, a former world champion in the 100-metre hurdles, will provide analysis for track events along with former decathlete Michael Smith and former middle-distance runner Dave Moorcroft beginning on Aug. 15 (Day 8).
The Pickering, Ont., native joins a broadcast team that includes hosts Ron MacLean and Scott Russell of CBC Sports, and Ian Hanomansing and Diana Swain of CBC News.
Alexandre Trudeau, Sook-Yin Lee, Catriona Le May Doan, Mark Kelley and Shaun Majumder are set to offer reports on the news, history and culture of China.
Felicien, 27, announced on July 15 that she was abandoning her attempt to return from injury to compete at the Games, which go Aug. 8-24.
Felicien suffered a stress fracture in her left foot during a training session in February, and hasn't raced since. She decided to give up her bid to qualify for the Olympics after doctors advised her she could risk further injury by continuing to train.
