I have what is called a complex concussion. That's what I was diagnosed with while I was in Japan for the world championships.

Born and raised in Toronto, Bauer followed up her crowning achievement with a silver-medal performance during the 2003 world championships in Deer Valley, Utah. A two-time Olympian and Canada’s top women’s aerialist, Bauer has reached the World Cup podium 18 times in her career, including four victories. She is currently recovering from post-concussion syndrome.
