one thing I didn't know Australian was an official language here.
Every time I went for a meal I was greeted by an Aussie accent and "How
ya going?"

The devastation of losing is nothing new but the stakes are now higher. It's fantastic to see performances like those from twenty-somethings Tessa Virtue and Scott Moir that are the best in the world.

Mother Nature playing games with the Olympics

So far the quote of the Games for me comes from skier Manuel (Manny) Osborne-Paradis who grew up skiing in Whistler. "It's Whistler- you put a mountain right beside an ocean in a rain forest you're going to get a lot of conditions."
