Bronze medal winning snowboarder Scotty Lago has reportedly left the Olympics after a pair of racy celebratory photos surfaced.

One of the photo, which originally appeared on gossip blog TMZ, shows a female fan trying to bite on Lago's medal while it was dangling around his waist.

Lago reportedly apologized to the U.S. Olympic Committee and the U.S. Ski and Snowboard Association.

The USSA said that Lago left the Games on his own accord. "Scotty left on his own accord. He wasn't forced to leave," said USSA spokesman Patrick Sandusky.

But there are conflicting reports that said the association gave the medal winner marching orders to avoid drawing more attention to the situation

Lago seems to be taking it all in stride. Yesterday, after his return home, he made fun of the whole situation. "Got home this morning to all my homies. Such a good Olympic experience. Keeping my medal in a safe spot for now huh," Lago wrote on his Twitter account.
