The Contenders
This event is combination of downhill race and roller-derby, which could explain why Canadian Maelle Ricker has endured several knee operations during her lengthy career. The native of Whistler has declared herself healthy and, along with 2006 bronze medallist Dominique Maltais, should give Canada two great shots at a medal.
