TORONTO -- Injured Toronto Maple Leafs forward Mikhail Grabovski enjoyed his time in the Olympic city of Vancouver, for the most part.
Of course, when you spark headlines at one of the world's biggest sporting events by getting arrested for allegedly being involved in a 2 a.m. street fight, there is some significant down side.
"I don't want to speak about that," said the 26-year-old, who reportedly spent several hours in a Vancouver jail early Saturday morning before being released into the custody of his parents. "It's not my big deal, I think it's my agent's problem. If you have a question just ask my agent or maybe [Toronto] general manager [Brian Burke]."
The Maple Leafs GM, who was also in Vancouver in his role as GM of Team USA, had little to say when asked by media about the incident, other than he expected the investigation to take a while and that physically his player was fine.
"As far as I know, he's healthy," Burke told reporters on Monday. "Stupid, but healthy."
Grabovski's broken left wrist kept him from playing for Belarus as the Games, but he still enjoyed partaking in what he could of the Olympic experience.
"My family stayed with me and I stayed with my Belarusian teammates," he said. "A couple of times I went out for dinner with by buddies and I had a good time."
He returned to Toronto following Belarus's qualification round shootout loss to Switzerland on Tuesday, though he would have been back for Wednesday's first Leafs practice since the NHL halted regardless.
After getting off the ice, Grabovski said he hoped to be ready to play when his team's schedule resumes on March 2 against Carolina.
"I feel a bit of pain," said Grabovski, who had his wrist taped up after practice. "But I think one more week and I'm ready to play."
