- Britt Janyk Britt Janyk is one of Canada’s hopes for an Olympic medal in Vancouver. The B.C., native achieved her greatest moment in the sport after capturing gold at the women’s World Cup downhill event in December of 2007. Her 12 top-10 finishes in the 2007-08 season ranked her third for the season, featuring a bronze-medal effort in Lake Louise, Alta.
