Adam Gopnik : Winter

We had a wonderful evening in the Studio One Book Club last week with the award winning author and journalist Adam Gopnik. After all these years of reading his very fine writing in the New Yorker, what a treat it was to have a chance to talk to him.  He turns out to be just as entertaining and thoughtful a speaker as he is a writer.

Adam was in town to give the Vancouver portion of the Massey Lectures (which will air on CBC Ideas beginning November 7)  His subject this year is Winter and he had many surprising and thought provoking things to say about the season.
