Social Media Etiquette

The Oxford Dictionary recently named "selfie" the word of the year for 2013. But are you annoying everyone when when you post them? Social media has come to play a large role in our daily interactions and relationships. While it may feel fun and anonymous, it's just the opposite.

That's why it's important to know the proper etiquette for different platforms. Jamey Ordolis is the North by Northwest tech columnist. She'll be by after the 6:30 news.

To encourage thoughtful and respectful conversations, first and last names will appear with each submission to CBC/Radio-Canada's online communities (except in children and youth-oriented communities). Pseudonyms will no longer be permitted.
