Frank Ritcey and Wildlife Winter Secrets

Frank Ritcey of WildSafeBC joined guest host, Margaret Gallagher to find out what the winter has in store for our feathered or furry friends.

Connie Lloyd of Prince George was our randomly selected winner of the WildSafeBC hat, courtesy of Frank. She was one of many listeners who correctly answered these questions:

1. Name a mammal in BC that flies south for the winter. BAT
2. Name a bird in BC that changes to a white plumage in winter PTARMIGAN.
3. What is the term for the den where snakes hibernate? HIBERNACULUM (pl. HIBERNACULA)
