John Koerner

John Koerner is the oldest still-active member of the Vancouver School of painters, a group that developed modernism in Canadian art. He turns 100 on September 29th He taught drawing and painting at the Vancouver School of Art and at the University of British Columbia. His work is on display now until Nov 7th at the Penticton Art Gallery. And there's a birthday party for him at UBC.
