Terry Fox Run in Powell River

TerryFox arch 2.jpg
The Terry Fox run takes place all across BC and Canada this morning, commemorating the Marathon of Hope, and raising awareness-and funds for cancer research. Ted and Jan Rodonet have been co-organizing the event for the last 10 years in Powell River in honour of their daughter, who lost her battle with cancer in 2002. The Powell River run starts at 10 AM today, but the run starts at different times across Canada. You can follow this link to see where and when the run is happening in your community. The picture left is from last year in Powell River, dragon boat paddlers and hockey players cross paddles and sticks to form an archway.
