Janet Rogers

It's been 100 years since E. Pauline Johnson/Tekahionwakes's death in Vancouver. Thousands of people lined the streets of Vancouver in 1913 as her procession passed by, to say goodbye to the Canadian Icon.

This weekend, Victoria's poet laureate, Janet Rogers honours Pauline Johnson at two separate events in Vancouver.
Saturday at 7:00 pm at Rhizome Cafe in Vancouver and Sunday 1:00 pm at the Pauline Johnson memorial monument at Ferguson Pt. in Stanley Park.

You can hear the conversation on Saturday morning after the 7:00 o'clock news.

To encourage thoughtful and respectful conversations, first and last names will appear with each submission to CBC/Radio-Canada's online communities (except in children and youth-oriented communities). Pseudonyms will no longer be permitted.
