Curtis Andrews' Carnatic connection

Vancouver musician Curtis Andrews taught himself how to play the drums when he was 14. He grew up in Newfoundland but now makes his home on the west coast, where he leads an Afro-Indian-World Jazz group.
He's performing at a concert in Vancouver on Saturday at the Western Front, featuring Carnatic music, which comes from South India. We'll hear more about how he connects with Carnatic music, coming up Saturday at 6:45 am.
