TJ Dawe's new play "Medicine"
Fringe Festival favourite TJ Dawe has a new solo show called "Medicine."
It runs until February 2 at the Firehall Arts Centre in Vancouver with a special appearance by Dr. Gabor Maté in talkbacks for some of the shows.
In "Medicine," Dawe shares his experience joining a retreat led by famed addictions physician Dr. Gabor Maté,
On the retreat participants ingest the Amazonian psychotropic plant medicine ayahuasca and confront their demons. Dawe's monologue takes audiences on a funny, and at times dark, introspective journey into the playwright's search for what lies behind his impulses and motivations.
